Thanks to everyone who posted today, and as always have a great weekend.
First thank you for my pick me upper. I won't cancle the wedding and we will talk....Ok now to post about my favorite way to cool off.
I love the pool. I could bask in the sun all day on a float. Margaritta in one hand and one leg hanging off into the water. Then taking a complete body dip when needed to completly cool off. Gotta have some great tunes playing in the distance to.
I love to cool off in a swimming pool, that is one of the perks of going abroad, in Britain it's not worth having a pool because there are too few days a year where you would want to cool down, but by the med, definitely!

Ahhhh. Grease. Don't we all love that musical? JOhn Travolta in tight jeans. Olivia Newton-John in full skirts and a ponytail. Mmmm. Well. The song doesn't remind me of my HOTTEST summer night, but still. It's pretty up there. (;
My favorite way to cool down, however, is very child-like. Popsicles. They are the food of the gods in the summertime. Just one and your entire body cools off. I love it. So much, I bought some the last time I went to the store. Perhaps it is just my personality - but I had to buy the ones shaped like crayons. I couldn't help myself.
Popsicles and crayons. Now THAT was a good summer when I was little. Oh yeah.

Well Meli since you visited me during lunch break let me give you something for dinner :) A greek recipe.
Santorinian Tomato Rissoles
INGREDIENTS
500 gr. tomatoes, rinsed and dried
2 medium onions, peeled and finely chopped (not grated)
1/4 teaspoon paprika
salt and black pepper
1 teacup fresh mint, finely chopped
2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
150 gr. self-raising flour
sunflower oil, for frying
Serves 4 persons!
METHOD
Put the rinsed and dried tomatoes whole into a large bowl and squeeze and manipulated them with the hands, until they turn into a pulpy substance. This is the only way to do it as you need the skins to give some substance. Next, mix all the ingredients together, apart from the flour. Add enough flour gradually to make a thickish but moist paste. You will probably not need all the flour. The mixture can now wait until it is time to be cooked and eaten.
Put about 2.5 cm oil in a large frying pan. When the oil is hot, but not smoking, drop in tablespoons of the mixture and fry, turning the rissoles over once, until lightly golden all over.
Serve immediately.
ENJOY !!

Summertime
Trying to cool down,
I jump in the hydrant's spray,
Now my shorts are gone!

My blog has moved to a new (and currently lame) location, platypus-society.net/blog. Pardon the mess and the mundane template, it's a work in progress.
This is for my sweet heart who lives in France. Am from India. I love her madly. The sad thing is we have just seen once. Yes, really once. We chat in phone for long hours. We came to know us each other through net. My family loves her. And her family loves me too. But due to some superstitious stupid things her mom denied me, not to marry her. See, she is from France, but she still believes in these things, she is of an Indian descent. But, I love my gal very much. Waiting has become by habit. I have to wait for that one good day when we are married. No matter how long it takes. I love her. I love you... I promise that my love for you will never change, no matter where I am, what I do... I LOVE YOU
Freaking Fabulous... WHEN LOVE IS NOT MAD... IT'S NOT LOVE...

Okay this may be a long post but I have got to say this:
Today I was reading in a local newspaper on how so many bloggers are being fired from their jobs because of what they post on their sites. There has been a lot of other negitive press for the realm of bloggers and personaly I am sick of it.
I have not heard about the good things we bloggers out there do, such as our upcomming blogathon, or about the support we provide to each other when hard times hit or we make milestones in our lives such has my recent decision to maintain my wieght. Do we choose to make our lives public for all to see? Yes. I do sometimes complain about my job or a long day I might have had, and even if I came out and said my manager is a witch(which she isn't) I have decided not to disclose where I work, since I understand the reprocussions that would have.
Maybe I should not count on the press to bring a good side of the story to this but I mean come on, yes the trend is there to have a blog, to express your life, political ideas, cooking, knitting whatever the hell we want. Is it different because it is in print, or that more than one person can read them? Hell there are many blogs out there whos content I disagree with, and you know what I do I go to a different site..same as tv press folks who may be behind on the times. I mean what would happen if I was in a chat room my manager happened to mosey into and she new my screen name and I was venting about a bad day, or maybe a bad encounter with her..mind you I have not disclosed where I work or who she is but she reads that, am I to be held libel since she came into that chat room....HELL NO!!! My thoughts and feelings are my own to share and as long as I don't compromise my company by mentioning my employers name or names of my coworkers, or divulge stock tips..or anything else illegal.
So people of the blogging world we have been noticed, our voices are begining to be heard, lets make sure they hear us strong, and united for our rights, freedoms, and what we love to do, do not let them stop us for we are our own future, we will be the ones to make the laws that affect us, not these beurocrats who probably haven't used a computer since the commodore 64. I will continue to blog about what I enjoy and my daily life and will not stop for fear.
Thank you
Just wanted to write a quick post to let everyone know that so far I have completed 3wks of working out 4 days a week. The most wonderful thing about it is that I have much more energy know and I sleep almost like a normal person. The weight is still comming off slowly but surely however I am gaining muscle mass and that makes the scale sometimes seem a little more evil. I will stil continue with it though but the latest update is in the last 2mo I have dropped 2 pant sizes...which means I get to go shopping. I can't wait.
