I have been given the chance to fly again. I will be flying out to Kansas City on Sunday to assit with my job in a remote location out there since our center will be closing due to hurricane Ivan. It will be a great trip with many of my friends from work. A time to get away and a time to also go and relax and get away from the stress. I wish all my friends who will be staying and riding out the storm good luck, I will be updating my blog from away.
I just read this online and heard it on the news. If its a dream I hope I don't wake up...but I have pinched myself mulitple times..I think I am safe.

Thanks to noaa for providing this great image of our newest friend to possibly visit florida. I am sick of these friends...however do you notice we keep skipping every two letters of the alphabet...very interesting.

I am a huge SNL(for those that don't know Saturday Night Live)fan. Tonight I was watching this great skit using Walt Disney world and I thought I needed to share it with all.

All is well, I finally got a hold of my parents, besides no power and water and land line phones they are okay. We fared fine. We still have some wind but nothing too drastic. I hope all fared well...and we will see what happens for next weekend.
Just a couple of hours and this will be over. As of right now I have been able to contact any of my family on the east coast, if anyone has numbers to the Red Cross to help me locate them I would be greatful or if you have family in the Palm Bay-Melbourne area and have heard from them and know what the damage is I will take that information as well. Hope all are safe.
I am in the middle of hurricane frances. This apartment that usually looses power at the first lightning strike and a little bit of rain, has not lost power yet. The wind has kicked up and we have some rain, but otherwise nothing too bad. I will try to post later as long as the power holds on, the most problems we have had is the internet doesn't want to stay up. Hang in there all only another 12-18hrs to go.
