Comments
Well due to the fact of low-life comment spammers continously finding my little blog of life interesting I have had to begin moderating my comments. Don't worry for those who post valid comments I will try to get on and approve them at least three times a day, or more if I am able. Currently I do not want to force people to sign in to post comments, however if moderation does not correct the problem that may be my only option. My apologies to anyone that was affect by the spamming it should not happen again. Thanks.

Ask your host to install MT-Blacklist.

I had it and it still wasn't stopping this particular one, in one day I was spammed from over 50 ip addresses.

I've been hit by duhHOSTING twice this week. At least it's not every day and it's not more than one spam at a time.
Question is, how do you spam them back?

I started getting lots of spam comments, and I'm still getting them, but they don't bother me as much. I use bBlog and have tweaked the code a great deal. I've added an IP address filter and a "bad words" filter. This means that I only have to moderate the posts from the common spammer IP addresses and the ones selling the stuff they're selling. I've thwarted over 400 spam comments so far and counting! I don't think I'll ever totally BAN a certain IP address or word, only because the spammers may be hijacking or spoofing legitimate IP addresses. Hey, I just got a spam comment while I was typing this! But at least it won't show up on my site, because I simply have the IP/BW filter flip the moderation bit. I do have to do some cleanup, but I'm working on making that easier to.

I had someone trying to spam my blog recently, but fortunately they didn't succeed. I really loathe spammers of any kind as all they do is cause difficulty for others. I like the look of your site, by the way.

MT-Blacklist doesn't prevent your server from taking a bandwidth hit.
Best way to solve the problem:
