Political Viewpoint
I know that in my previous posts I have stated that I would never vote for Kerry due to the way his wife's staff treated my on a phone call to my company. I now am having second thoughts. I wonder election eve which of these two men would be the lesser of two evils. Personally I don't like either one, and there is not a strong enough independent canidate that I would vote for. So which to choose. I am supposed to vote in about 8 hours and know that I need to make a well informed educated decision, and I wonder if any other people feel as I do. In some ways I wish that this was a clear cut election, but it is not, I agree with some views of each one of the parties. I have been using blogexplosion to surf some sites and have been taking time to read some of the viewpoints of other bloggers and have found them quite interesting, however it is still hard to make the decision. I don't want people to comment on who I should vote for...but I would like to hear if others feel this way and what they are using to base their final decisions on.

I've learnt over the years that someone can be nasty and a great leader, or lovely and a terrible leader. So ultimately my personal experience of that person or their associates may not mean much.
Ultimately you don't vote for a person, howver much they try to convince you that you do. You vote for a party and a set of beliefs, And these two parties are very different, and their beliefs, in many cases, diametrically opposed.
One lot, I must admit, appalls me constantly. The other annoys me sometimes. My advice is to put aside the fear-mongering , scare tactics and stone throwing and ask yourself which one really resonates with your beliefs, and which will be better for the US and the world, and to make that decision with your rational side rather than your gut, though ideally the two will match up.
And good luck!

Hi Mel, I just wanted to stop by and say hi and thanks for commenting on my blog during this blogexplosion party.
I saw your latest post and I couldn't help but reply. I agree with you about this election, it truly is about who's the lesser of two evils. Sad to say but I don't think either of them should be in office but inevitibly one of them will be. How I decided? Honestly, I took a quiz online, on where I stood with certain key issues that have been debated between the 2 candidates and though I was quite surprised by the results, it did help me clear my thoughts and eventually make my decision.

I spent a lot of time researching the issues during this election. While I won't tell you who to vote for--though I think I'm going to vote for Kerry, because in the end my biggest reason for supporting Bush at this point hinges on a "what if" with Supreme Court nominations--you might appreciate my last two blog entries, with links to reasonably unbiased references.

I feel like you. Which of the two evils to pick. I guess I won't really decide till I'm standing in the booth.

Wanda Sykes put it best for me the other day: "I haven't voted for anybody in years. Now I just vote against the candidate I hate".

Thanks for your honesty! I know there are a lot of people like you; however you have the added advantage of a personal experience... I'd take that to heart.
